Have y’all tried out Prime Wardrobe on Amazon? It’s essentially their try before you buy fashion program offered for free with your Prime subscription. You get to pick out up to 8 items that are sent to your home, and you have a week to try them on and decide what you’d like to keep before shipping them back.
It’s completely free to receive a Prime Wardrobe box (as long as you already have an Amazon Prime subscription), and you don’t pay anything until you “check out” and decide what you’re keeping.
I kept waiting for a catch cause it all sounds too good to be true! Where are the hidden fees??? Lol but I had a great experience trying this service out and definitely plan to use it more in the future. Amazon has really upped their game fashion wise, and this is a great way to try out a bunch of things you have your eye on, before making a final decision on what you want to purchase!
With summer in full swing, I was mainly looking for summer dresses and pieces. I have an upcoming beach trip and have spending all my social time outdoors with social distancing so definitely wanted some easy summery dresses to have in my closet.
I wasn’t looking for anything too expensive because that’s typically how I tend to shop anyways, plus I’m currently in the process of losing weight and don’t really want to spend a bunch of stuff that might not fit me next year. I’m trying to grab things that I think will still fit but, but even so. Like I said though, I tend to gravitate towards affordable items anyways.
One thing to note is that not EVERYTHING on the Amazon site is available to add into a Prime Wardrobe box. However I still found plenty of options and had no trouble at all filling it up with 8 pieces. Easiest if you go into the Prime Wardrobe section of Amazon and shop from there.

1. Goodthreads Button-Front Cami
This was a surprise winner. When I saw this in my order I honestly was second guessing myself and why I added this in, but it’s such a gem! Really love the fit and how it looks tucked in. Super cute. I grabbed this in my regular size (medium).
Comes in 5 other prints/colors. Including leopard….which I’m currently debating.
2. Hope & Henry Seersucker Dress
I was so hopeful for this dress but was not a fan. But it does have pockets! I grabbed it in a size 8 and that fit well. It was just a heavier material than I was looking for in a summer dress.
3. Goodthreads Twill Wrap Dress
Fan of these sleeves! I think this one was so cute. The waist was not adjustable. Ran big, so I’d suggest sizing down. Had good length! Looks kinda frumpy here/on IG stories but mainly just because of being too big + unsteamed. I ended up returning this one though, because I truly fell in love with the dress that I did keep and saw myself wearing that one so much more!

4. Amazon Essentials Cap-Sleeve Wrap Dress
Pockets! Faux wrap dress. I liked the length and the feel of the material, very pajama-like (so soft!). Ultimately felt it was just okay, so wasn’t a keeper. Grabbed this in a medium, fit okay. I think a small would have been too small, but don’t love the medium.
Honestly, I might give this one another chance in a smaller size and solid color. I feel like this one might have some potential. Also it was so dang comfortable.

5. Goodthreads Georgette Ruffle-Sleeve Mini Dress
The lighting made this look more bright than it was in person, but it’s definitely still on the bright side. Adjustable tie string and had pockets! But didn’t love the fit or the sleeves personally.

6. Lark & Ro Short Sleeve Twist Front Fit and Flare Dress
Super excited about this one because of the fun leopard print, a little different than what I’ve seen. But still not too in your face, ya know?
The fit was a little strange to me, a bit unflattering on me imo. I grabbed a medium, and I don’t really think a large would have changed how it laid on me. Too bad, loveeeed the print.

7. Goodthreads Georgette Smock-Back Cami Maxi Dress
Adored this dress. Pockets! Loved the fit and loved the length. I hate when maxi dresses hit the floor or I’m stepping all over them, so this was the perfect length imo. I am 5ft4 for reference.
However, this dress is super sheer. I wore a bralette for the try on knowing I wouldn’t be wearing that with it normally, but didn’t really get a full picture of just how sheer. I also wore a slip, but when I put my nude strapless bra on, you could still see that through the top of the dress.
I was on the clock for my return, so I ended up sending it back. But I’m thinking I will purchase again and perhaps try it with nipple covers and hope those aren’t see through? Maybe a darker color would be less so too.

8. Hope & Henry Navy and White Striped Knit Dress
The clear winner of the bunch. LOVE love love this dress. So cute and comfortable and flattering. I grabbed this in my regular size (medium) and it fit perfect. I’ve already washed and dried this a few times and so far washes really well! I even left it in the dryer for too long because #lazy and it was barely wrinkled. It’s like a thicker tee shirt kinda material, and I love it.
Thinking of doing a style session of a few different ways you could wear this dress to potentially give y’all some ideas, and challenge myself to make this dress as versatile as possible! Thoughts?
Even though I only kept two items, it was great to be able to try out a bunch from the Amazon brands. All seemed to be high quality for sure!
Defffffinitely will be doing more Prime Wardrobe boxes in the future, such a great way to try on a bunch of stuff before having to purchase. It couldn’t have been any easier!
