After reading way too many Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (aka Nsale) posts and going through the catalog, I’ve bookmarked some of the items I’ve got my eye on, and sharing a sneak peek of those items below!
A Few Thoughts Before We Get Started…
I realize literally every single blogger on the planet covers this sale. Seriously, it’s wayyyy over saturated. It overwhelms me both as a consumer and a blogger.
I feel like I need to buy ALL the things and post ALL the posts to take full advantage of the sale. It’s stressful and anxiety inducing, at least for me. Yes, it’s a really good sale, but all the coverage can be overwhelming.
I decided this year I’m not going to overwhelm myself with “coverage” or shopping as a consumer. It’s not necessary, at least not to me.
Like I said above, it is a good sale. One I’ve shopped for years, since way before I was a blogger or even knew bloggers did “sale coverage.” So I am going to be posting about it, but I’m only going to be sharing what I’m actually interested in, what I’m purchasing, and previous purchases I still love.
Do you NEED anything I’m sharing? BIG FAT NO. None of these are “necessities” so don’t get caught up in the shopping fomo and feel like you need ALL THE THINGS. You just don’t, plain and simple.
Should you sign up for a credit card in order to shop the sale? Again, no.
If you do want to shop the sale, and would like a little guidance or ideas of where a good place to start is, here is my posting plan below.
- This post, featuring sneak peeks + nsale catalog
- What’s in my cart (July 12th)
- Try on – will share what I’m keeping and returning (asap – whenever my order arrives)
I’m really hoping I can share about this sale in a way that is actually helpful and doesn’t overwhelm you further, or make you roll your eyes since it’s definitely a well covered sale!
I also hope to not make you feel like you will be missing out if you don’t grab certain items, or if you decide to not shop the sale at all. The blogging industry has definitely shifted in that direction (so much of “you NEED this” and using fomo against you) and it’s not how I ever want to come across. Not trying to hate on any bloggers out there, it’s just something I personally am trying to move away from and be mindful of.
A Few Sale Deets
Y’all know how a sale works, I’m not going to break that down lol. But the generally the important dates to know are July 12 for cardmembers, which lasts until the 18th. Then open to public access on July 19th.
To have early access you have to have a Nordstrom credit card – and you have to use it to purchase what you’re buying. Don’t feel the need to sign up for a credit card to shop the sale. It’s not that big of a deal. Don’t go into debt for a sale!! I have one only so I can shop this sale, but please don’t feel like you have to get it. However, if you would like more information on the Nordstrom credit card, click here.
Last year, many items did sell out during the early access. A lot of people were not happy about this, so I’m not sure if Nordstrom will handle it differently for this Nsale. Some restocks happened, but not all. I’m guessing they were really trying to push people into feeling like they had to sign up for a credit card, which is kinda lame if that’s the case.
Popular cardigans seemed to be the first to go, just an FYI.
Once public access opens, anyone can shop, Nordstrom credit card or not.
What Am I Shopping For?
If you read this post, you know that I’m currently planning and preparing myself for starting a job in the corporate world. I have very little “work appropriate” clothing honestly, since I’ve been nannying for years.
So, I am shopping for interview outfits and workwear. And anything else I’m grabbing, I’m keeping that in mind. I feel like I need a whole new working gal wardrobe, so I’m trying not to buy much that doesn’t fit into that category.
I’ll definitely be snagging a few staple cardigans, since I don’t really have any good ones. Didn’t really have a reason to purchase previously, but seem like good workwear layering options.
I also plan on picking up some good work appropriate shoes. Maybe a good pair of flats, as well as boots.
I always grab 1-2 pairs of my all time fave leggings by Zella, and usually pick up some Charlotte Tilbury products too. Love love loveeeee her makeup (cruelty free!)
Sneak Peek!

Below are some of the items that have caught my eye. I gotta say, I’ve got my eye on a few too many things. Damn you, Nordstrom!!
Any look good to you? I’d suggest bookmarking them so whenever you have access to the sale, they are ready to be loaded up into your cart. Like I said, things can go quickly, so if there’s anything you realllllly really want, I’d suggest snagging it.
Have a few items that are maybes but a few that you DEF want? Grab the ones you know for sure you want, and you can always just place an additional order later on. Free shipping, so doesn’t really matter how many orders you place. So many things sold out quickly last year, so just keep that in mind.
(but also don’t go into debt or stress over a sale or an item. if something sells out and you can’t snag it, it’s no big!! just want to reiterate this point because I don’t feel like enough people are.)

(you don’t need to make any purchase, trying to not use that type of language anymore! but these are still top recommendations I’ll be making this year, along with a few others, if you are looking for some recs.)
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – Try On & What I Ordered
Looks like plenty of these items will be available during the sale this year as well. I’ll be rounding up purchases I’ve made in previous years I still own and love, but a few call outs – BP Plaid Shirt, Zella Leggings, and BP Drop Shoulder Ribbed Sweater.
