This orange cardigan was one of the top items on my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale wish list and even though I was in the last tier before public access, I was still able to snag it. I love it even MORE than I thought I would, the color is so much more stunning and rich. Not quite as bright as the picture, but in a good wear. Looooove this piece and definitely planning to wear it a bunch this fall (and many falls to come when I hopefully have more places to go….#Just2020Things)
ANYWAYS. I personally felt like it might be a bit of a challenge to get a good amount of wear with this cardigan since the color is much more on the bold side than I’m used to. So I decided to come up with a bunch of different outfit ideas before ripping the tag off just to make sure it was still a versatile piece that I would really be able to get a good amount of wear from.
The more I styled it the more I realized just how versatile this cardigan really is! So many colors go well with this rich orange shade, and it has me all excited for those temperatures to drop so I can wear this cardigan everywhere!
The Cardigan
This is the BP. Open Stitch Cardigan in the color Rust Leather. Love the length and cozy feel to this cardi. Not too thick and not too thin either, it’s a good mid-weight.
I personally feel it runs mostly true to size, maybe slightly oversized. I grabbed my regular size, medium. I definitely could wear a small though too, so it depends on how you’d like for it to fit. But I wouldn’t say the medium is too big! Good for layering for sure.
If this color isn’t your thing, it comes in a Beige Oatmeal, Back, Light Gray, Olive. Plenty of neutral options! And all of the outfits below would work with any of the colors.

Easily my favorite outfit of the bunch. The plaid and orange and combat boot combo is my ideal fall outfit!! If you see me wearing this on repeat……sry not sry.
Also plz ignore the wrinkly white tee #lazy. Love this tee!! I’m trying to find a SOLID white tee that washes well and lasts without getting holes (anyone else know the struggle?!) It’s too soon to tell the lasting ability of this tee, but so far, nooooo holes (and pricier ones have gotten holes from just one wash!) I am a fan. Love the fit too. And price point!!

Slightly dressier option but still on the casual side. Still deciding how I feel about these leggings that have a cult following behind them! I think I’m a fan so far, but planning to give them a more thorough review on the blog in the next couple of weeks!

Alllllll black outfit. Hello halloween vibes! I think I would rather the sweater be a bit longer to cover the booty. On the hunt for a solid black sweater that has a good length to it! Linked something similar in the meantime.

Another favorite. Love the layering of all the colors and patterns! This tee has holes after few washes so I linked a similar one with good reviews that hopefully doesn’t do that! Really digging the deeper blue chambray with the orange.
ALSO these are the leggings I have raved about for years. Loveeeee them so so much. High quality, not see through, comfy + flattering.

More on the casual side! Especially casual with the wrinkles in the tee…those are optional. Perf easy on the go kinda ‘fit!

I honestly can never tell how I feel about these booties but really think I’m digging them in this outfit. The olive and orange go well together, imo.

TBH the tag is still on this dress because I am deciding if it’s a keeper and I’m thinking it isn’t because helllllooooo too short. I kept having to pull it down! Maybe a bigger size would give more length?! This is a fan fave dress, so I still linked it because it seems like SO many people have and love this dress. I’m planning to try the next size up (medium) and see if that gives me more length.
Anyways, the cardi looks great layered over a little black dress! And you could easily dress this up more with more sleek, dressier booties, I just didn’t have any that went!
