Hey what’s up hello! It’s been a while! Sorry about that, but if you read the title you’ll see that WE MOVED!
Scott got a new job in Virginia that we’re both very excited about, and the commute from Frederick to VA would just be too long, so a move was in order! We already were dealing with a pretty rough commute from Frederick to Bethesda, but to VA would be unbearable. We were looking to move anyways, because we felt like we were so far from everything being in Frederick, and we did not love living in a teeny basement. TBH, I hated it! It was a space that was meant for one person, not two, and I missed having a dishwasher!!!
I know it seems a little backwards to go from the house we own to an apartment, but it’s what makes the most sense for us right now. If you don’t know, the house we own is separated into two units, the big main part of the house upstairs, and a small basement apartment downstairs. We lived in the basement while renting out the top, and now we plan on renting out the bottom as well. Definitely not selling it!
So, now we live in Arlington, VA in a cute little apartment with a big terrace, and most importantly, a dishwasher #itsthelittlethings! It’s been about a week since we moved and we still have lots of unpacking, organizing, and furniture buying to do, but it’s starting to feel like home already. Just the sheer fact that it’s not a basement makes it automatically feel more homey than where we lived lol. We absolutely LOVE the area, there’s so much to do, and lots of new restaurants to try (and if you know me and Scott at all, you know we love to eat!) Very excited to bring you guys along on this new adventure of ours! And if anyone lives in the Northern Virginia area, please comment below or email me with any recommendations you have!
