Having a coffee station for my kitchen is an absolute must for both me and Scott. We drink a loooot of coffee. So it’s a requirement for us to have a designated area for all of our coffee brewers and related accessories.
A little while ago I reorganized our coffee station to be a little less bulky and ditched the items that we weren’t using anymore. While we currently have ours right on our counter and that works perfectly fine for us, I’d love to have a little side table or console (tbh idk what the name of this piece of furniture is…? Server? idk) but a little table that is the designated coffee station.
Basically I’m in love with this server that I saw a while ago and have dreamt of putting together my perfect coffee station situation ever since.
But if you are looking to put together your own coffee station, here are plenty of ideas and inspiration on how to put it together!
Coffee Machine or Brewer
I’m going to go ahead and assume you probably already have the actual coffee aspect of the coffee station all figured out, but just in case you don’t, I’ll
We currently have a Keurig, Nespresso, and French press, and we love them all!
We loved our Keurig for a long time and used it daily, usually with our own coffee grounds and these reusable K Cups. However, we’ve recently switched to using our French press, and haven’t touched the Keurig since. It’s so bulky I’m debating getting rid of it, but I’m not quite sure yet.
If you’re in the market for a coffee machine though, I do love and recommend both our Keurig and Nespresso. We’ve had both of those for just about 5 years, and no problems with either of them the entire time. We have a basic Nespresso that just does shots of espresso, I had my eye on some of the fancier ones that make entire drinks for you, but this is perfect for us for now. Plus, I recently grabbed a frother and it’s changing the coffee gaaaame.
Coffee and Pod Storage
Whether you use coffee grounds, coffee beans, K Cups, Nespresso Pods, or whatever other form your coffee might take, you likely will need some type of storage situation.
We used to have the drawers that the coffee machine would sit on top of, and inside the drawer would fit all the K Cups and Nespresso Pods. But honestly I didn’t love the look of them, and found them to be quite bulky. When you live in an apartment with limited counter space in your small kitchen, you need to remove the bulk as much as possible!
I ended up switching to these glass jars to hold our coffee pods, and this locking jar for our coffee grounds (although I’d like to get a bigger one in the future).

Bean Grinder
If you use fresh coffee beans, you definitely need to keep a coffee bean grinder on hand in your coffee station.
We grabbed this one since it was so highly rated and it’s super affordable. It’s been working really well for us!
Milk Frother
Hiiiiighly recommend grabbing a milk frother if you add milk or creamer to your coffee. I just picked up this one a few weeks ago and it is a GAME CHANGER. Has a few different settings, my favorite being the cold foam. It also has 2 different types of hot foam, as well as the setting to just warm your milk or cream.
If you love getting cold foam on top of your Starbucks drinks, this is a super easy and much cheaper way to do it at home! Same goes for lattes and cappuccinos and all of those fun drinks.
Coffee Station Location – Counter or Server
One of the decisions you need to make for your coffee station is where will it be? This depends on counter space, and preference. We personally have used the corner of our counter, because I find that to be a hard space to use anyways and the coffee machines fit well in there. However at some point, I’d like to grab my dream server and set up our coffee station there.

Tray
I personally love the look of a tray to hold your coffee machine/brewer and accessories. It’s an easy way to hide some of the cords by tucking them behind the lip of the tray, so that’s a plus. But also, it just ties the whole coffee station together!
Make sure you check the size of the tray before you grab it, depending on what your coffee brewer situation is you may need to go bigger or smaller than you think!

Mug Storage
There are a few different options for mug storage when it comes to your coffee station. Of course, you can keep your mugs in your cabinet and have them not be apart of your coffee station at all.
But if you’d like to store them as apart of your decoration, or because you don’t have the cabinet space here are a few ways you can!
You have a few different options here! You can do a shelf, a mug tree, a hanging mug holder, put little hooks underneath your cabinets
