Searching for shower storage ideas so you can finally have all of your bath and body products organized neatly and not crowding in the corners? Sharing them right here! No matter what your bath or shower looks like, there are shower storage solutions for you.

Figuring out storage in the shower can be crucial, especially if you’re limited on space. One product too many always leads to them falling all over each other in the shower. It can go from crowded to overcrowded real quick, so it’s important to figure out the storage situation that works best for your space. Plus, it adds a lot more storage space as well!

While it seems like some men seem to be able to get away the 10-in-1 bath products that require barely any space at all in your shower, we know that does NOT work for everyone. Shampoo, conditioner, hair masks, body scrubs, body wash, shave gel, razors, etc. etc. etc. There can be quite a lot of products you need to find a space for! And some of them can be on the bulky side.

Time to ditch the cluttered corners of your bath or shower and actually have a storage solution that works!

No matter the size of your bath, shower, or product collection, there are plenty of shower storage ideas below that will work great for you!

Pro tip before we get started – if you’re not lazy like me and throw away your shower products once you actually use them up, you’ll need a lot less space 🙃

Actual pro tip – I made sure all of the products below had good ratings, but double check to ensure these caddies are rust proof!

shower storage ideas

Hanging Shower Caddy (Shower Head)

Definitely the most common of the shower storage ideas! These are perfect because the take all of 2 seconds to “install”, if you can even call it that, and immediately add a LOT of extra storage space. Typically out of the way as well, since you’re probably not needing to be directly underneath the shower head where these caddies hang.

There are a wide variety to choose from as well. You really can pick and choose depending on the products you typically have in your shower and pick a caddy that will best fit your needs. Some even come with suction cups so they are a bit more secure to the wall. That can be helpful so they don’t slip down the shower head!

If you do grab one that doesn’t have suction cups and you’re finding it to slip down the shower head you can add a rubber band to the shower head where the caddy hangs to give it a bit more grip!

There are also options with hooks on the bottom for your washcloths, loofahs, or anything else you might need to hang. Some come with places to put your razors, as well as bars of soap!

Hanging Shower Caddy (Curtain Rod/Shower Door)

Along the same lines as the kind of shower caddy that goes right on the shower head, but these can either go on your curtain rod or on the shower door. These might be good to explore depending on the size of your shower.

We previously had a very small sliding door shower, and having the caddy on the shower head just didn’t work for the space. We instead hung it on the door to make best of the space.

Bonus of the kind that can go on the door itself is that on the other side of them them they often have hooks for towels! That was another plus for us when we were verrrry limited on bathroom space. Seriously, that bathroom was so teeny. The sink wasn’t even in it! Just a toilet and shower.

Tension Rod Caddy

Definitely the option that is able to give you the most amount of additional storage! Simply set up the tension rod on the corner of your tub or shower, and you’re given a number of different storage baskets to use for all of your shower products.

If you have quite the collection of products, this probably is going to be your best bet!

Floor Shower Caddy

If you’re not looking to install anything or need less storage, a standing floor shower caddy might be a good option for you! It can offer plenty of storage for all of your bath and body products, likely more than the hanging ones, without any of the hassle of installing the tension rod caddy. They also give you the option to easily move around to figure out the best placement, or for whatever other reason you might need to re-situate it.

These are probably the bulkiest of the options, and only really work if you have a flat area to place these. They can take up some space for sure, so if you’re limited on space in your shower/bath, I wouldn’t recommend.

Suction Cup or Adhesive Caddy

These can be great options to add in storage where you want to, not limited to your shower head, shower door, etc. You can really pick and choose where you want these to go and add storage in the way that makes the most sense for your space.

The only think to keep in mind with the suction cup caddies is that sometimes they can be tricky to get to stick depending on your bath/shower wall. I had a hard time with one I tried a while ago because the suction cups didn’t line up with the tiles in my bathroom. One of the suction cups was in between two tiles, so it couldn’t fully suction, making it completely useless.

I would suggest measuring out and ensuring these can work for your space before ripping any tags off!

Caddy with Handle

For the most limited of spaces, or those who don’t want to keep all of your products in your shower at all time, grab a handled caddy that you can easily bring in and out of the shower with you! No need to find a permanent placement at all, simply bring into the shower when needed, and take back out when you’re done! No real storage necessary.

Who knew I could say caddy so many times in one post!?

Which do you think would work best for you shower or bath? We’re likely moving in the near future, and I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll be able to have the tension rod caddy so I can have ALLLLL the storage. I’m 100% a bath and body product hoarder. Anyone else?!
