The temperatures are starting to drop meaning my skin is starting to switch gears from being regular dry to next level dry! I always have to change up my skin care routine come winter to make sure I am really giving my skin all of the hydration and nourishment it needs to survive the cold and dry weather. I have found a few tried and true products that I swear by, and sharing them below!
Thank you to NOW® for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.

I think most of us deal with some dryness in the wintertime, so whether it’s occasional or constant, these products are definitely worth incorporating into your regular routine.
NOW® Solutions is one of my go-tos for cruelty free skincare products because of the quality of ingredients and affordable price point. They have a wide range of hydrating products that are perfect for winter time when your skin really needs that extra dose of moisture! Breaking down a few of my favorites below, but I highly recommend browsing through their site to see the amazing selection they offer!
Dry Skin Winter Must Haves
Hyaluronic Acid Hydration Facial Mist
This has quickly become a holy grail skincare product for me! From the moment I first used it, I could tell it was going to become a favorite.
This is my first step after cleansing, and makes a HUGE difference in how hydrated my skin is. Gives me a solid base of hydration to layer products on top of. I usually spray this and then give it a few minutes to dry and sink in before adding more products on top.
I also use this as a skin refresher when needed on those especially cold and dry winter days. LOVE this stuff!
Plus, in the summer it’s great to keep this in the fridge before applying to really amp up the refreshing factor!

Coconut Oil
Sometimes I find that makeup remover or makeup removing wipes can irritate and dry out my skin a bit, and when winter rolls around I really try to eliminate as many products that could contribute to drying out my skin as possible!
I have switched to using coconut oil! Since it’s an oil, it glides on my skin, meaning no excess tugging required to get everything off. It breaks down everything so well and leaves my skin makeup free! No stripping or drying out my skin at all AND helps to add a bit of hydration as well!
Plus, a little goes a long way, so that tub will really last you!

Facial Oil
A facial oil is an absolute must for me all year round, but especially in the winter. Luckily NOW® has so many good ones to choose from! I typically rotate between either their argan oil or marula oil, as I’ve found them to be what my skin responds to the best. If I had to pick a favorite, it’s probably marula, but they are both really solid facial oils I highly recommend trying out! I always can notice a big difference on the days I forget to incorporate them.
I typically will add a few drops either on top of my moisturizer as the last step of my skin care routine, or mix it with my serum. Either way, it makes the moisture in my skin last SO so so much longer!
They don’t leave my skin feeling greasy or like the products are sitting on top of my skin without really sinking in – a must for me in any skincare product, especially the heavier ones!
Jojoba Oil
You probably are already aware of my deeeeeep love for this oil, but jojoba oil saves my skin this time of year! I incorporate this in a lot of different ways into my beauty routine to help moisturize my skin. If you’re looking for some tips, here are 9 Ways to Incorporate Jojoba Oil Into Your Beauty Routine.
My favorites ways for this time of year are definitely adding this into my body lotion to boost the hydration factor, and using this to create my own hydrating body scrub. Removing dry skin is a must for me in the winter, but I have to make sure I’m adding hydration as well. That body scrub is absolutely amazing for that!
Nutri-Shave Shave Cream
Shaving becomes a much more difficult task come winter because it can cause some serious irritation for me! I *have* to use a high quality razor and a moisturizing shaving cream or my skin will be inflamed and itchy. This shave cream has been perfect for making sure my razors can effortlessly glide on my skin, and the hydrating ingredients leave my skin soft. No irritation or itchiness at all!
Bonus – smells absolutely AMAZING. You get so much for the price too! And Scott enjoys it as his facial shaving cream as well.
Cocoa Butter Lotion
I usually switch up my body lotion in the dryer months because I neeeeed to. My skin absolutely craves the thicker and more luxurious lotions! This cocoa butter lotion has been perfect for when my skin is especially parched and needs really deep hydration.
This is definitely on the thicker side though! I’d recommend using before bed to give your skin the time to absorb it.

Lip Balm
Of course can’t go through winter without lip balm! I’m actually really picky when it comes to my lip balm. I find a lot of them tend to tickle my throat and make me cough when I apply them. Does anyone else deal with that? It’s so annoying!! I also hate when you use a lip balm and it seems to dry your lips out even more and you’re left constantly having to reapply.
I have a few of these NOW® lip balms on hand and stashed in so many different places! Between my nightstand, purse, bathroom skincare stash, care, you name it, there’s a NOW® lip balm. Scott is hooked as well!
I apply this every night before I go to bed and it doesn’t make me cough and I can still feel it when I wake up in the morning.
Love both the pomegranate and vanilla scents!
Vitamin E Cream
This is my “emergency cream” for when my skin is in desperate need of hydration. When I’m dealing with flakey or cracked skin (tmi?) this works some serious magic on my skin!
With washing my hands non-stop this year, my hands have been left quite dry. This is an amazing hand lotion! It’s quite thick, so I typically only apply it at night. Also works wonders on my feet, which also can get especially dry this time of year. Highly recommend keeping this lotion in your beauty stash!

Alright, those are my best tips, tricks, and product recs to help your skin survive the cold and dry winter months ahead of us. Highly recommend checking them out, and checking out the wide range of high quality products NOW® has to offer. They are one of my go-to brands for so many products, but especially when it comes to skincare!
